BiteSafe stores your meal logs, symptom records, profile information, and app preferences locally on your device using on-device storage. We do not maintain user accounts or store your personal data on our servers.

What We Store Locally

Smart Features & Data Processing

BiteSafe offers optional smart features including meal scanning, food analysis, menu analysis, meal suggestions, and wellness reports. When you use these features, relevant data (such as food photos, ingredient lists, or meal/symptom summaries) is sent to our secure server, which processes the request using Anthropic's Claude AI model.

Third-Party Services

Analytics & Tracking

BiteSafe does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not track your usage behavior, build user profiles, or share data for marketing purposes.

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time from Settings > Reset All Data. This permanently removes all local records from your device. Since we do not store your data on external servers, deletion is complete and immediate.

Children's Privacy

BiteSafe is designed to be used by parents and caregivers to track food allergies for children. The app does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental involvement. AI features should be used under parental supervision for minors.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
